The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) announced today the arrest of Afolabi Kazeem Michael, who goes by the nickname "KC Luxury," a self-styled luxury goods dealer and social media influencer.He is accused of being a key figure in a large-scale cocaine trafficking operation worth billions of Naira.

Gen.Mohamed Marwa (retd), the head of NDLEA, revealed that Michael was stopped at the boarding gate of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on the night of August 13, 2026.He was trying to board a business-class flight to Paris when he was detained by operatives.During the arrest, he was found with €7,750, £2,800, and ₦100,000 in cash, along with some valuable jewelry.
A subsequent search of his luxury apartment in Banana Island, Ikoyi, uncovered several high-end vehicles.
Marwa stated that the ongoing operation against the drug syndicate has led to the recovery of 184.50 kilograms of cocaine, which has an estimated street value of ₦39 billion, as well as foreign currencies and other luxury items.
Before his arrest, Michael was known for sharing photos and videos online that highlighted his lavish lifestyle, including expensive cars, Hermès Birkin bags, and designer jewelry.
These posts have now gained significant attention on social media platforms, especially after the NDLEA revealed his arrest.
