A woman and her daughter lost their lives in an attack by suspected gunmen at Katul Crossing Community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The attack took place around 8:00 pm on Monday night, July 13, 2026.
The daughter died at the scene after being shot during the attack.
The mother was taken to the hospital in critical condition but eventually passed away due to her injuries.
Reports also mention that two other people were killed in the attack.
Their bodies are expected to be buried once their families complete the burial arrangements.
So far, the authorities have not issued an official statement on the incident, and more details are still not known.
The tragic event has left the community in deep sorrow.
