Reality Television star Tope Adenibuyan, popularly known as Teddy A, has spoken about the emotional risk of false abuse allegations made against him.
Speaking during a recent interview on the WithChude podcast, Teddy A revealed how a viral report once indicted him of physically abusing his woman , actress Bamike “ Bambam ”.
According to him, the allegation which spread extensively on social media — claimed that he beat his woman , indeed while she was pregnant.
Teddy A said the report caught him fully off guard.
“ When they said I was beating my woman , which was a lot. I woke up, went downward , my woman was there, she was watching a movie, she was pregnant and laughing, ” he said.
He explained that the story sparked massive online responses and left both him and Bambam shocked and confused about where it came from.
also I checked my phone and saw my announcements going off. I was like, I did n’t drop any content that’s trending, what’s going on? What did I do? Or what are they saying now? ” he said.
As he scrolled through the commentary, he said his woman came emotional and kept asking who could have made up such a story.
“ I actually did n’t know. perhaps it was one partner nearly or vill people trying to come after me, ” he added.
Teddy A also recalled that he was originally advised to stay silent and allow the issue to die down.
still, he said that decision latterly came back to hang him, as the allegation continues to resurface online and affect public perception of him.
“ I did n’t really see the damage staying silent would do to my character. Indeed now, when my woman and I post ourselves, people still note and ask if I’m sure I do n’t beat my woman , ” he said.
“ Why would they say that? Why on earth would they do that? It affected me because it made people see me in a way that was n’t true. ”
