Fiscal services provider, Standard Chartered Bank has blazoned that effective February 28, 2026, it'll no longer continue its relationship with guests who do n't meet its means Under operation( AUM) demand of N 7.5 million.
This, the bank said, is in line with its new Emerging rich Member.
In a notice to it’s guests named
“ Important notice Branch network and member update, ” the bank said
“ accounts without the minimal balance by the deadline will be closed. ”
The bank stated that under its refreshed structure, it's closing the particular banking member under which guests are banked and introducing the AUM.
It further said effective January 15, 2026, it would be closing some of its branches in headway of ongoing sweats to optimize services and client value propositions.
“ These closures also make on our digitisation sweats, which commenced a many times agone , to streamline our processes, operating channels, products and service results, and efficiently use coffers to suit the prospects and evolving requirements of our guests, ” the notice read in part.
The bank assured that following the Central Bank of Nigeria’s( CBN) minimal capital demand or N200 billion, for public marketable banks, it remains adequately equipped to serve and support it’s guests in the fulfillment of their fiscal pretensions and bournes .
It said its online and mobile banking platforms remain completely functional, allowing guests to manage accounts, make deals and access a wide range of services from the comfort of their homes or services.
The bank listed branches in Lagos, Abuja and Rivers State as those that will remain functional
