The Gombe State Police Command has arrested 14-year-vintage boys for alleged conspiracy and r3pe in Akko Local Government Area of the state.
The spokesperson of the command, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, who disclosed this in a announcement on Friday, September 19, 2025 stated the suspects, Danladi Babangida and Samaila Sulaiman, r3ped a 13-year-vintage woman interior a bush even as she turned into fetching firewood.
According to the PPRO, the arrest observed a grievance filed with the police with the aid of using the victim`s father towards the suspects.
“On the 12/09/2025 at approximately 1216hrs, statistics obtained from one Muhammad Tukur `M` of Lergo Hamida village Pindiga, Akko LGA Gombe State that at the 10/09/2025 at approximately 1304hrs one Danladi Babangida `M` age 14years vintage and one Samaila Sulaiman `M` age 14 years vintage, each herders with the aid of using profession and each from Kombani Isa village Pindiga, Akko LGA Gombe State who conspired and forcefully had canal know-how together along with his daughter one Hauwa`u Muhammad `F` age 13years vintage of the equal deal with interior bush close to Lergo Hamida even as fetching firewood,” the announcement read.
"Upon receipt of the grievance, Police rushed and visited the scene of the crime, the above referred to suspects have been arrested, the suspects confessed to the crime and all events have been taken to General Hospital, Kashere for scientific examination. Case is with Gender Unit State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.
