The 61-year-old bodybuilding legend was scheduled to travel to the UK for an event this week but announced via Instagram that he would be unable to attend due to his condition.
"Hey everyone, I regret to inform you that I won’t be able to travel to the UK this week as originally planned," Coleman shared. "Unfortunately, I had a medical emergency and had to stick around here in the U.S. for treatment. But don’t worry… I’m in great hands, getting the best care, and I’m staying strong through it all. I’ll be back and better than ever, and I can’t wait to see you all real soon. Thanks for all the love and support—and as always, this ain’t nothin’ but a peanut."
A day later, Coleman’s family released a formal statement confirming the severity of his condition while reassuring fans of his ongoing treatment.
“Ronnie Coleman was admitted to the hospital on Sunday morning due to a serious medical condition,” the statement read. “He is receiving expert care and continues to show incredible strength and resilience. At this time, we are not sharing additional details to allow focus on his recovery. We appreciate your support and ask for respect and understanding. Please rely on official updates from the family or authorized representatives.”
