Syrian actress and former Miss Asia World Angy Morad has passed away at the age of 33 due to a viral infection while pregnant with her second child.
Morad, known for her roles in TV dramas, was admitted to intensive care in late January and succumbed to the infection on February 9.
Before her passing, Morad shared a heartbreaking five-word message on Facebook, saying "I am dying, forgive me." Her husband, Samer, later updated her account, stating that she was in a critical condition, and asked fans to pray for her.
Morad's mother confirmed her daughter's passing on Facebook, writing, "May God have mercy on you, my daughter." The actress leaves behind her husband and a young daughter.
Morad began her acting career in 2007 and gained international recognition after being crowned Miss Asia World in 2017.
She had recently returned to acting, starring in the series Souq Al Haramia, which premiered on January 19.
