Edwin Clark, a prominent Ijaw leader and former Federal Commissioner for Information, has died at the age of 97. His family announced his passing on Tuesday, stating that he died on Monday.
The announcement was made by Professor C. C. Clark on behalf of the family.
Chief Clark was a leading figure in the Ijaw ethnic nationality and until his death, led the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), an organization dedicated to promoting peace, security, and inter-ethnic harmony in the Niger Delta region.
