Ukraine Strikes Russian Drone Facility

In a significant blow to Russia's military capabilities, Ukrainian Air Force units and Defense Forces launched a strike on drone storage facilities in Russia's western Oryol Oblast on January 26.

The targeted facilities housed thermobaric warheads for drones, resulting in a substantial secondary detonation

According to preliminary reports, over 200 Shahed strike drones were destroyed in the attack, rendering them unusable for future attacks on Ukraine.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on Facebook that operations against critical facilities supporting attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure will continue.

This development comes after Russia launched thousands of Iranian-designed Shahed drones against Ukraine since the fall of 2022.

The Ukrainian military's efforts to disrupt Russia's drone capabilities mark a significant milestone in their defense against ongoing attacks.
