LIVE UPDATES: Israel kills 28 Palestinians in Gaza in 24 hours, pounds Lebanon


At least 28 Palestinians have been killed and 120 injured across Gaza in the past 24 hours, according to the enclave’s Health Ministry.

Aljazeera is reporting that Israel’s military has issued several evacuation orders for the southern suburbs of Beirut, followed quickly by devastating air attacks in the Ghobeiry and Burj al-Barajneh neighbourhoods.

The Israeli army says it has hit more than 120 Hezbollah targets throughout Lebanon over the past day, including a command centre in the Nabatieh governorate.

Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 43,764 Palestinians and wounded 103,490 since October 7, 2023. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day, and more than 200 were taken captive.

In Lebanon, at least 3,386 people have been killed and 14,417 wounded in Israeli attacks since the war on Gaza began.

Meanwhile, nine Israeli soldiers, two in Gaza and seven in southern Lebanon were injured over the past 24 hours, according to the latest figures released by the Israeli army.

The army's website reported the total number of Israeli soldiers wounded in Gaza, Lebanon, and the occupied West Bank since the beginning of the ongoing conflicts has risen to 5,360, up from 5,351 the previous day.

Since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza in October 2023 as many as 794 Israeli soldiers have been killed.
