The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu, Mr Bayo Onanuga, has affirmed that President Bola Tinubu is not restricted to the United Kingdom for his two-week vacation.
Defending Tinubu's departure to France, Onanuga claimed that it is the President’s private time and he can visit anywhere he desires.
In a post on his verified X (Twitter) handle, the presidential aide wrote: “President Tinubu is on leave for two weeks. He is not restricted to the UK.
“It is his private time. He can go to anywhere he so desires. He is still observing his leave.”
It was reported yesterday, that President Bola Tinubu left the United Kingdom for Paris, France to attend an important engagement.
Vanguard quoted the Special Assistant to the President on Political and other matters, Ibrahim Kabir Masari, to have made this known via his verified X handle, @KabirIbrah64.
Masari said, “Today, I had the honour of visiting President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his private residence in the United Kingdom, where we engaged in productive discussions.
“We then departed for Paris, France, for another important engagement.”
Onanuga had announced Tinubu’s departure for the two-week vacation in a statement on October 2
“President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja today for the United Kingdom to begin a two-week vacation, part of his yearly leave.
“He will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.
“He will return to the country after the leave expires,” he noted in the short statement.
