NIA offers to support the mission to rebuild Borno after flooding

Borno State government has been offered pro bono architectural services as needful by the Nigerian lnstitute of Architects (NIA), aimed at assisting in the ongoing reconstruction of projects in the state.

The body disclosed the willingness to help while it's president, Mrs Mobolaji Adeniyi, led a delegation on a solidarity visit to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum after the recent devastating floods that resulted in significant loss of life and property in the state.

The NIA boss made bold to the State government the readiness of the institute to be committed to a long-term partnership, by providing sustainable and climate-resilient solutions for Borno’s reconstruction.

According to her, “This demonstrates our commitment to aiding the state’s recovery. We are here for the long haul, ready to lend our expertise and support to ensure a brighter future for Borno.”

Welcoming the gesture, Zulum highlighted the need for more registered architects in Borno and requested the establishment of more schools of architecture in the state to boost local expertise.
